Open Access 30 minute Print Slots are available for those who have completed a Risograph induction. They do not include any artwork set-up support, just technician assisted printing for pre-prepared artwork. If you have not risograph printed before and would like to learn how to print your art work, that is great, please book an INDUCTION SLOT instead.

This print slot is specifically for 1-3 colour printing for an artwork/document of a maximum of 1 A3 page double sided or equivalent, you can print as many copies as you wish. By ‘equivalent’ we mean anything you can fit on an A3 page, e.g 2 A4 prints, a set of cards, a fold out zine etc. We have a guillotine available in the space that you are free to use.

Colours: florescent pink, orange, green, blue, black.

Please note, a print slot is not suitable for any other type of print job other than that specified above. If you would like to print more pages, please book more slots.

Prices

Masters: £5 (A4 and A3)

Printed impression (per colour): 15p (A4), 20p (A3)

Paper (recycled paper 80gsm and 115 gsm, card 170gsm and coloured paper 80gsm: various prices (10p-40p)

Example costs

Print jobs vary a lot but here are two examples to help you figure out costs. A technician should have explained costing to you at your induction but they can give you an exact cost for your print job before you print if you are unsure.

2-colour A3 print x 10 copies = £10 (masters) + £4 (printed impressions) = 14 total

1 colour, single sided A6 zine (A3 fold up sheet) x 10 copies - £5 (master) + £2 (printed impressions) = £7 total

We accept card or cash payment on the day for your print job.

To ensure sessions generate enough money to pay our technicians, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges so please double check your availability before booking a slot.

RULES

• These print slots are specific to a maximum of 3-colours and A3 double sided printing or equivalent.

• Please do not attend is you have ANY COVID symptoms.

• Bring hard copies of preprepared work in greyscale, we use the scanning bed to print and do not hook up computers or print files. Print slots are short so please do not bring things to work on, make sure you’re ready to print.

• We have paper and card for sale but you are very welcome to bring our own (80-200gsm, uncoated).

• Decide which colours you want to use before you arrive. Colours: florescent pink, orange, green, blue, black.

• I can’t remember how to print, will someone be there to help me? Yes, all print slots are technician assisted, there will definitely be someone there to help you.

• What if I need more time to complete my print job or if I’m late? We will be strict with print slots so you will need to leave at the end of the half-hour slot to allow the next person to attend and book a new print slot.

• How much will it cost to print work and what colours do you have? Our colour selection and information about prices can be found here but please ask a technician to explain these if it’s not clear.
